The Machine

A massive floor-to-ceiling device built from salvaged parts, brass gears, copper pipes, and duct tape. It opens doors to realities nothing like our own. Sam built it by accident. He uses it on purpose.

The Machine - My Wrong Timeline

The Design

Distinctive steampunk aesthetic. Brass gears, copper pipes, mechanical dials, analog gauges, exposed clockwork mechanisms. Everything Sam creates has this handmade Victorian-industrial look. Not sleek, not sci-fi polished — more like a dimensional gateway built from parts from Home Depot and a salvage yard.

What It Does

Opens a portal to realities that are fundamentally alien. Impossible landscapes, different physics, surreal beauty or horror. A jungle made of glass. A city where gravity pulls sideways. An ocean that exists above the sky. Each destination is a visual spectacle that contrasts sharply with cozy Plainview.

What It Does Not Do

The machine does NOT drop Sam into alternate versions of his own life, alternate careers, or reshuffled versions of Plainview. It opens doors to genuinely OTHER realities. These are not dreams or simulations. What Sam encounters there has weight and consequence.

The Rules

Machine trips are brief but intense. Sam steps through, experiences something extraordinary, and comes back. The consequences always follow him home — intentionally or not. The machine is the spectacle; Plainview is the heart.

Machine Activation

The moment the portal opens.

Destination Log

Every reality the machine has opened to. Updated after each episode.

The portal is warming up. Destination logs will appear here as episodes air.
